Hi, I'm Maia!

I'm from northwest Iowa and studied at the University of Iowa. After earning a degree in math, I rediscovered a passion for caring for animals and was lucky enough to find the Pooch Palace. A huge part of my childhood was spent helping my mom with rescue animals of all kinds as she operates the Calhoun County Canine Shelter and Humane Society. One of my favorite parts of my job is tucking in all the pups in the evening and wishing them a good night. You can be assured your pooch will get the best rest here at the Palace!
